Plein Air
Leave the studio behind and head into the wild outdoors in this adventurous week of art camp. Plein air artwork is the practice of creating paintings and drawings in the open air. Young artists will learn painting and drawing skills while experimenting with watercolor, pastel, acrylic paint, charcoal, and more. Each day we will meet at a different outdoor location to create artwork inspired by the beauty of nature.
Day One: Meet at the studio to work on painting and drawing techniques.
Day Two: Meet at Chalco Hills Recreational Area.
Day Three: Meet at Lauritzen Gardens.
Day Four: Meet at the studio to complete work in progress and recap our plein air art experiences.
*Exact meeting places at each location will be announced closer to camp.
